Vignt et un

Bonjour!
It's day 21 and I'm feeling quite french-tastic! I would do the whole post in French but then it would take a lot longer and if you aren't a French lover like me you'd have to google translate :S but I might save that idea for a future post! :)

So getting back on track ... In Todays post I'm supposed to tell you about something that I would like to forget. I like to keep this blog positive and somewhere that both you and I can come to get away from the negativity! So even though there are a lot of things I could tell you about today most of them are quite personal and also quite negative. Therefore today I shall tell you about one of my many freak accidents! If you're not one for gory details ... don't worry there won't be too much!

So this freak accident I think happened a couple years ago? My cousins had come to visit and we decided to go visit the beach. On the way there we saw a couple of men with about 15 quad bikes. that they were renting out. As always, I got all excited and said we had to go rent a couple ! So of course we went over and rented a couple of quad bikes for an hour or so. All was fine in the beginning! We were riding away into the distance, racing each other and swerving around each other! It was great fun! Until my breaks decided to stop working just before I was about to ride over a hill- thing! So I went over the hill in full speed flying and landed under my bike! After I was retrieved from under the bike I started to feel the pain. The whole left side of my body was scratched and bruised and cut! I still have some scars to this day! It hurt so much! Every part of my body felt like it was on fire! Of course I was then taken to the hospital and then they cleaned and dressed my wounds which hurt even more! It felt like they were cleaning my wounds with acid! I cried and screamed - and no I'm not ashamed of it because it hurt!!!!!

It probably took about a month and a half for all the wounds to heal and during the healing process I was so thankful that I was alive! However I did hate looking in the mirror. I would avoid mirrors and hated the way I looked, I was worried that my face would be left with scars! It was defiantly a terrible time for me and thinking about it just makes me shiver. But of course that doesn't stop me from riding quad bikes or doing other activities, as such. I'm sure there are a lot of people that couldn't stomach the idea of getting back on a quad bike after an accident like this ... but I just love riding quad bikes. :D

This picture is from google.
I didn't have any pictures of me falling or even the scars because I didn't want to be photographed at that time. So the picture above is the best I could come up with.

Until next time Amigos!

From the other side of the rainbow.
